Divide and conquer: Bible-in-a-month challenge, 16 of 30

Day 16 — Ecclesiastes 4:8-Isaiah 28:29

Got to bed pretty late last night, so I got up an hour later than usual.  So, how did I get my reading done?

Well, I read half of my daily allotment starting at 6:30 am.  Then, I canned my lunch-time fitness routine and spent the hour finishing my reading.

The office proved to be less than ideal for speedy consumption of scriptures.  Folks throughout the cubicle farm were on the phone, chatting with co-workers, etc.  I put on some soft classical music on iTunes, plugged in the ear buds, and gutted it out.

I’d love to come back to the book of Isaiah sometime for an in-depth study.  If memory serves, it’s the Old Testament book most quoted in the New Testament.
